February has been a busy one! Summer Garner showed her barrow in San Angelo, Braxton Staton showed his Simmental heifer in San Antonio, Corbin Kuhn showed his Maine Anjou heifer and his black cross steer in San Antonio, Landon Bales showed his ARB heifer in San Antonio, and Konner and Trace Namken showed their ag mech projects in San Antonio!

REMINDER: Today is your last day to respond! Attention Sophomores and Juniors! SISD is exploring the possibility of offering free training for upcoming Juniors and Seniors who are interested in the Education Field. The training would be provided by Region 13 over the course of one week in June. Students who complete this training will be able to apply to work in the after school program located at the Elementary campus. The training consists of teaching leadership skills and skills development. If you would be interested in the program, please complete the survey below by March 1st. https://bit.ly/3UQ7R6w

For any student interested in trying out for SHS cheerleader next year, there is a MANDATORY parent meeting on Tuesday, February 20th at 6pm in the High School Library. Please make plans to attend. Tryout practices will be March 4th-6th from 3:30-6pm, and tryouts will be during school on March 7th.

This is a reminder that Monday, February 19th, is a staff and student holiday in honor of President's Day. We will see everyone back on Tuesday, February 20th.

The chili supper is at the HS from 5-7 p.m on Thursday (tomorrow) as well. Each meal is $15 if you are interested. You can purchase at the door as supply lasts or in advance from a band member. The chili is provided by the Roadhouse of Roadhouse of Bastrop/Paige. We'd love your support. We celebrated our Seniors on Tuesday night at the last home game of the season! The Tiger basketball team takes on Caldwell this evening. #TigerPride

Konner and Trace Namken showed their projects at San Angelo over the weekend. Both came back with blue ribbons and Konner was 4th in his class of tractor restoration!

The Tiger Band is hosting their annual Silent Auction and Chili Supper during their Solo & Ensemble Concert on February 15th from 5p-7p (come-and-go). Please come enjoy some great music and a meal to support our band!

Pep Rally fun yesterday to celebrate the last home basketball games of the season! We heard from two of our Senior players, and Mrs. Berry "won" the pie in the face by receiving the most student votes! The Lady Tigers will be advancing to the playoffs! They play Monday, February 12th, at 6:30pm at Rice Consolidated-Altair against Houston Yates. Come out and support our Lady Tigers!

Several of our students had the opportunity to participate in ESC Region 13's "Thank You Notes" project and tell why they are thankful for the teachers at SISD!
